What a fun experience we had on Saturday evening!
We were invited to attend Whiskies of the World on the San Francisco Belle Hornblower Yacht on their only night in San Francisco.
We got to get all dressed up which is always fun because…..you know…..4 kids….jeans, sweatshirts, tank tops, flip flops. Yea we don’t get to dress up very often.
The general admission tickets were $140 each and the VIP tickets were starting at $165.
We were excited to see what all we would experience once we got inside the yacht.
Once we boarded we were given a glass for our whisky samples.
As well as a bag with some advertisements inside as well as a guide to the booths and classes happening that evening.
Everything was so nice and well planned out.
They had 300 booths laid out in the program. I’m not sure how many of them ended up participating (I only say that because one of the booths we were looking for was not in the spot it was assigned, but I’m sure that happens!)
They had whiskies from all over the world! Such as this Indian Whisky which is made from Indian malted barley and Scottish peat.
We got there when it started and the crowds weren’t as deep.
That allowed us to take a quick picture with the Whiskies of the World sign.
But soon after the crowds started to arrive and it got pretty crowded, but not uncomfortably crowded.
We tried quite a few different types of whisky from all different countries as well as some that are local.
We enjoyed the cheese, cracker, bread and fruit hor dourves they had out.
On the 2nd level of the yacht they served dinner and had whisky classes.
All in all we had a really nice time. This is a MUST do for those of you who are whisky enthusiasts. It’s a great way to really try all different kinds of whiskeys from all over.
So many of these are made different ways by ingredients, amount of peat, flavorings, how long they’re aged, how they are stored. It’s amazing how different they taste.
I’ve got nothing……..I just thought that sign was funny! Had to share!
It was nice to have a date night out with my husband and our good friends!
I want to thank Whiskies of the World for inviting us to such an amazing event! We really enjoyed ourselves and all that the night had to offer!
Cheers!
